Casa Doca is the kind of place that makes you slow down as soon as you arrive. It is located in Vila Carnaúba, in Preá, facing a lagoon and surrounded by the typical nature of the Ceará coast.

The architecture, designed by Davi Bastos, was inspired by Bahia houses: open spaces, lots of wood, natural ventilation, and a constant connection between indoors and the surrounding landscape.

The atmosphere of the house is both sophisticated and laid-back. It’s a place to spend the day with friends and family, have coffee while gazing at the lagoon, enjoy the breeze in the late afternoon, and end the day gathered on the porch.

What makes Casa Doca special is not just the architecture or the privileged location. It’s how it blends design, tranquility, and authenticity—the charm of an elegant beach house with a warm, effortless atmosphere where people naturally feel at home.

KITESURF

Classic route: Preá to Jericoacoara (15 km). Passes by Pedra Furada and ends at

Sunset Dune in Jeri. At low tide, flat water conditions are ideal for

intermediates; at high tide, waves for more experienced kitesurfers.

Long route: Ilha do Guajiru to Jericoacoara (65 km), passing by Espraiado,

Arpoeiras, Aranaú, Barrinha, and Preá. You can also go from Preá to Guriú or

Tatajuba, with a lunch stop along the way.

In addition to the spot in front of Vila Carnaúba, the region offers other options for those looking to mix things up:

Barrinha: Flat water, great for beginners, very close by.

Guriú: Flat water, a bit further away, worth a buggy ride to get there.

Tatajuba: Flat water, farther out, perfect for a full day trip.

Ilha do Guajiru: Part of the long downwind route, flat water.

Barra Grande: A much longer downwind, for those seeking a multi-day adventure.

The Preá spot has E/ESE/SE winds, side-onshore, between 18 and 35 knots, peaking between August and November. Water temperature is 26°C year-round. It's a spot for all levels, and there are kite schools on-site for those who want to learn or improve.

BUGGY THROUGH THE DUNES

Classic late-afternoon ride through the Preá dunes, with a stop to watch the sunset.

LAGOA DO PARAÍSO

Clear water and hammocks inside the water. Go early to have the lagoon to yourself.

LAGOA AZUL

Smaller and quieter, good for children and for a slow-paced morning.

JERICOACOARA

Just minutes away along the beach. Sunset Dune, Pedra Furada, and Main Street at night.

STAND-UP PADDLE AT THE LAGOON

Right in front of the house, in the late afternoon when the water turns into a mirror.

Besides kite and regional tours, you can also organize in advance:

Capoeira; Hawaiian Canoe; Massage on request (the professional comes to the house); Yoga class; Sunset horseback ride and sunrise fishing.

Some beaches impress by their grandeur,​ while others captivate with their tranquility. Preá​ belongs to the latter group. Among dunes,​ coconut palms, and a stretch of sand that seems endless, the wind shapes the landscape and sets the rhythm​ of the days. The sea, sometimes calm, sometimes​ restless, meets a wide horizon where the​ sky seems larger, inviting those who arrive to​ slow down and simply take it all in.

More than just a destination, Preá is an experience of simplicity. Sandy streets, fishing rafts​ resting on the beach, and the coming together of locals, travelers, and wind sports enthusiasts​ create a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Here, time seems to move at a different pace,​ as the sunset colors the shore in golden and orange tones, ending each day​ as if nature wanted to remind us that​ some of the most beautiful landscapes are also the most discreet.

HOW TO GET HERE

Vila Carnaúba, Preá, Cruz, Ceará

From Fortaleza (284 km, about 4h): via CE-085, the Tourist Road of the Sun, with no tolls. Fortaleza Airport (FOR) receives direct flights from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, other capitals, and international flights.

From Jericoacoara (12 to 20 km, about 30 min): pre-booked transfer, taxi, or car rental. Casa Doca recommends transfers, buggy, and quad bike; contact information is provided in your booking confirmation.
