Featuring a unique decor, the Machado estate is a large luxury holiday property located in Pinhal dos Frades, near Sesimbra, Herdade da Aroeira golf and Fonte da Telha-Meco 20km long sandy beach. The estate is by itself a small oasis, hiding within an vast Mediterranean Pine forest, and accessed via a quiet 450 metre long dirt road (although posing absolutely no issue for any type of vehicle).

This is an awarded magazine cover estate, and such exquisite properties are rarely available for short term rental.

The holiday estate is composed of three units (north and south wings and a pool house), organised around an exotic decked heated (please note supplement applies) swimming pool, and surrounded by immaculate gardens. The estate spreads over 5000m2, and affords total privacy to its guests. The view of the beautiful green surroundings can be enjoyed from most rooms via large french doors.

Each unit has been carefully designed to highest standards, and boasts luxurious details and fittings throughout, exceeding your expectations each and every time. Nothing about Machado Estate can be defined as average.

There are three large living areas, one in each wing, fitted with wide flatscreen TV sets with cable TV, DVD player, hi-fi stereo systems and air conditioning. There is also a formal dining room, sitting 16 people, in the south wing of the house.

The estate boasts two fully equipped modern kitchens: one in the north wing and the other in the south wing, for added comfort of guests. Each kitchen has a open-plan american style design, and is fitted to the highest standards.

There are six suites at the Machado Estate, and sleeping facilities for up to 14 people. Each suite opens onto the gardens and terraces via large french doors with wooden shutters, and features unique designer details, such as a jacuzzi hot tub, a double walk-in shower room, an iPod docking station or a hi-fi stereo system. As standard, each suite boasts comfortable sitting areas, air-conditioning and a flatscreen TV set.

The north wing has three suites, and the second wing has two suites. An additional suite or lounging area (both layouts are possible and keep up to the luxury standards of the estate) is available at the pool-house upon request and additional payment.

Outside, the large 5000m2 garden is thoroughly kept, boasting many special corners and sun traps during day, and exceptional lounging areas after dusk, each lit with extreme care and endless attention to detail. The large 12*7m swimming pool (the swimming pool can be heated up to a temperature of 26ºC, upon previous request and subject to additional payment) and will provide hours of relaxation and fun. The pool area is equipped with parasols, deckchairs, outdoor shower, and unique lounging areas with mattresses. The pool itself has a second Jacuzzi area.

The large lawn area at the back of the main house is an ideal games area, and the estate has its own sports and activity fittings.

Hidden within the private gardens, the lake is among the most special features of this exquisite estate, and makes you feel truly privileged. Over an elegant and modern wooden structure, a Nikki Beach-style bar and lounge is the perfect setting for a night cap: a celebration of life and success. The Nikki bar lounge has been featured in music videos and magazines.

The house is luxuriously decorated and fitted for the posh and selective guest, yet blending in perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside which surrounds it. Satellite TV with international channels, internet access, air-conditioning and stereo system enhance your enjoyment, on most rooms.

For joy and entertainment of guests, the Machado Estate also boasts two additional bar areas: the club in the south wing (which apart from the music gear, the tables and the glitter ball also has a pool table), and the barbecue area. Each of the bars is fully equipped with fridges and cutlery.

There are magnificent beaches and sights nearby, but you will find it very hard to ever leave the villa.

This gated 22,000-square-foot estate features a main house with two additional “pod” buildings flanking each side, with the focal points being the views, infinity pool and waterfall. Indigenous stone, massive wooden beams, and hand-troweled stucco walls give a garden-villa atmosphere to the interior, while an enormous wraparound veranda, outside bar, cabana and zero-entry pool all take advantage of the astonishing 180-degree views.

The main villa contains a large entry hall, a spacious two-story great room, two kitchens, dining room, wet bar, media room, spa room, fitness center, and two master suites—each a lavish 2,250 square-feet, equipped with its own foyer, office, and en-suite bath. This private gated villa estate sits on its own mountain perched high above the resort, featuring 360-degree views out over Deadman’s Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and the Sir Francis Drake Channel and many Virgin Islands dotted on the horizon. The wraparound deck, surrounded by colorful gardens has casual chaises and comfortable chairs so everyone can pick their favorite view to watch the yachts sail by below or watch the sunrise or sunset. The Santa Barbara coastal style architecture and open floor plans ensure that each view from the villa is a spectacular one.

The villa consists of the main house with a master bedroom, and three additional exterior bedrooms located down a winding path that leads to the kidney-shaped, seamless-edge pool in the back of the villa. Each bedroom design has a different color palette. The master bedroom is a soothing mixture of beige and whites, while the exterior bedrooms have vibrant color themes: the “Red Room,” “Blue Room” and “Green Room.” All are lavishly appointed and feature master baths with two-person showers and double Jacuzzi tubs. All have their own entrance and private balconies where guests can unwind and enjoy a moment of tranquility as they take in their magnificent surroundings. The living room boasts various seating areas, as well as a 52-inch flat screen TV with entertainment center.

The wet bar is always well stocked and guests can choose to have their preferred beverages stocked prior to arrival. The interior...

The interior design of this villa is contemporary and modern, yet cozy and elegant at the same time. With a neutral color palette, the outdoor environment and views are that much more vibrant. Lazy afternoons or evenings can be spent on the wraparound porch or on the poolside sundeck enjoying a gentle breeze and a favorite cocktail. Your “home away from home,” this villa has an open concept floor design, making it light and spacious. Perfect for families with smaller children, as all of the bedrooms open up to the interior of the villa.

The master bedroom on the top floor is decorated in a beige and white color palette and is the size of a small NY apartment. This bedroom has a king size bed, comfortable chaise lounges and a desk, and offers views over the marina and the Sir Francis Drake Channel beyond. The en-suite bath with two-person shower and double Jacuzzi tub also has magnificent views from an oversize window over the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean. The two additional bedrooms are on the first floor of the villa. The “Blue Room” has a blue color scheme, a king size bed, and a comfortable seating area, as well as its own en-suite bath with two-person shower and double Jacuzzi tub. The smallest bedroom in this villa is the “Red Room,” with a king size bed and bathroom located across the hallway, with a two-person shower and double Jacuzzi tub. The fully equipped kitchen can be used to prepare any meal, but most guests HAWK’S NEST VILLA enjoy their meals in our world class restaurants. For a special and fun night, the do-it-yourself barbecue is a popular dinner choice at this villa. We will make all of the preparations, you do the grilling, and we will come back and clean up.
