Among the most acclaimed private residences in Latin America, Casa Anderson is a work of sustainable design conceived by designer Wilbert Das and built entirely by the hands of local artisans. The first Brazilian house to be on the cover of Architectural Digest magazine (USA) this is without a doubt the most authentic and luxurious private accommodation option in Trancoso.

Located right in front of the centenary church of São João Batista, in the heart of the famous historic Quadrado, the 1400 m² tropical garden of native Atlantic forest full of trees houses three suites built in separate structures ensuring maximum privacy. Each suite reflects a different phase of Bahia's architectural past: wattle and daub, masonry and the master suite is suspended in the garden and built entirely from recycled wood recovered from an old Bahian farm.
It has a kitchen, living rooms, immaculately decorated rooms offering privileged views of the Quadrado, a 20-meter pool with hydromassage, a spectacular tropical lounge with bar, heated wine cellar, MP3 dock and barbecue, perfect complements for the beaches of Trancoso.

Possibly the most photographed house in the Historic Square. With its royal blue façade and featured in several art and design magazines around the world, Casa Das Artes exudes creativity and tropical sensuality and is an elegant homage to Trancoso's recent past, when the quiet fishing village was chosen as home to international artists and designers. With a privileged location close to the Church of São João Batista and a garden full of trees, this has always been one of the most coveted houses in the city.

Today its renown is due to the unique atmosphere, the result of the decoration and art pieces left by the participants of the Artist at Home residency, unique pieces with organic shapes and materials that contrast strong colors, vibrant hues and soft pastels. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it has sofas and hammocks in the open air, an outdoor shower, a vintage bathtub surrounded by cocoa trees, a hot tub in the private garden and dining area open to the patio, plus a colorful picnic table in the Square sheltered by the shade of a large almond tree.

One of the Historic Square's secrets is a small alleyway that houses a hidden mini-neighborhood, a haven of tropical privacy. Among famous neighbors such as the Capim Santo restaurant, hides a small wooden gate that leads to one of the most iconic houses in old Trancoso, Casa do Beco.

With a living room, dining room, kitchen, three independent suites, a 1,000m² garden and lush vegetation, the house has a tropical climate and the feeling of absolute privacy, perfect for families or friends traveling together. The wooden deck garden connects the rustic, freestanding structures with the pool, gazebo and outdoor dining area forming the heart of the house.

This two bedroom house, the pure expression of the essence of Trancoso, an old house with a beautiful history. Its creator was the Brazilian filmmaker Augusto Sevá, who bought this beautiful garden facing the Historic Square and inspired by the dream of living in a 'garden with a house' instead of a 'house with a garden' kept the simple original structure, adding only an open balcony overlooking the tropical garden.

Built in the 1980s by the famous potter Calazans, strongly influenced by his admiration for the simple houses of the Greek islands, constantly bathed in the sun. This 185m², bright and cozy house has four suites, 150m² deck, 15m² pool with rare onyx tiles, square parallel street, internal patio with private garden and a large open kitchen. The house was then named Casa Luz.
All suites and the large covered patio overlook the internal garden, without a roof and full of flowers and trees, there is also a roof deck overlooking the green valley that descends to the mangroves and beaches of Trancoso.
The style of the house is a mix of the rustic and cheerful, traditionally Bahian, with tapestries and original engravings from the 70s and 80s by the renowned Kennedy Bahia.
